The Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg has invited a couple of Five Star authors to participate in their annual Home Tour and Holiday Boutique set up in the Wickenburg Community Center Saturday November 3, from 10 am to 4pm. I’m looking forward to being there with Power’s Garden.
Since it began in 2009, the Tucson Festival of books, a two-day event on the University of Arizona campus, has seen attendance double to over 100,000. The final video trailer in up on YouTube for Power’s Garden. I’m really pleased with it. The accompanying music is quite Spanish sounding and though the Mexican community only appears peripherally in the book, we do have a large Hispanic population here in the Southwest, so the “sound track” really seems to fit the story.
Saturday morning at the Empire Ranch Roundup began cold and windy, with temperatures hovering in the high forties. Thankfully, by noon it had warmed up into the mid sixties.
