Tucson Festival of Books 2015

Gearing up for the 2015 Tucson Festival of Books on the University of Arizona campus. Always an exciting event, this year’s festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, 9:30 to 5:30. Friday night there is a special performance by the Rock Bottom Remainders, the fab rock band comprised of well-known writers, Amy Tan and Dave Berry among them. Just learned yesterday that Craig Johnson, author of the Longmire series, will be speaking at several venues in town as well as appearing with Longmire stars Robert Taylor and Lou Diamond Phillips in the Student Union South Ballroom on Sunday from 11:30-12:30. Those who’ve been following the Wyoming sheriff on A&E will be pleased to know that the series has been picked up by Netflix.

I’m looking forward once again to the opportunity to sign books — Power’s Garden, Spirit Stones, Homecoming and A Grand Madness — at the festival in the Author Pavilion Central Sunday from 1:15 to 3:30.
